Consistent with our founders' thoughts over 150 years ago, our primary purpose is to create an environment for our members in which lasting friendships and our vows of brotherhood emanate all aspects of our Fraternity. We encourage an atmosphere which will foster high ideals of friendship among college men, promote their educational and cultural interests, create in them a true sense of social responsibility and develop in them the best qualities of character. Through our National Endowment Fund we support our members' academic endeavors with undergraduate scholarships. Every member is unique and yet they all join together in a single bond of friendship through Colorado Alpha.
Get a new start for the new year by joining a brotherhood of upstanding men and make lifelong connections. Formal Spring 2010 recruitment takes place from January 22nd through January 30th. IFC recruitment is a week long process designed to place men in fraternities where they feel the best fit. The first event is the Open Night on Saturday, January 23 from 6 to 10, in which potential rushees should visit all of the houses and see which group of guys seems like it would be the best fit for them. Use this night as an opportunity to shorten the list of potential hosues that you would like to rush. The following day Sunday, January 24th at 2pm there is another open day in which, we suggest you return to the house and get to know more of the brothers and start to get to know which houses you are interested in.
If you receive an invitation, our Preference Night is ...... The preference night is an invite only even in which brothers try to get to know the rushees to determine who is worth to join the brotherhood of Phi Kappa Psi.
If you did not receieve an invite to a preference night of your choice you will have a second chance to rush each house on Friday, January 29th when the houses hold several Second Look Bid Events.
Then on Saturday, January 30th you will find out which houses gave you a bid and you must choose which house you would like to call your own. We all hope it is with the brothers here at Phi Psi.
